Study some required and optional actions for generating your report, i.e. filtering out your data even more accurately with the Filters option.

DATE RANGE SETTINGS
Action from The start date of visitor’s actions.
Action to The end date of visitor’s actions.

 

APPLICATION SETTINGS
IP The range of IP addresses that is set by the user including and excluding the IP addresses to avoid internal networks which might creep into the statistics. (It can be set in Experiments/Applications -> Settings)
Traffic source The configuration of traffic source for parsing the traffic and providing more accurate analytics.

 

MAIN SETTINGS
Audience Allows choosing one of the predefined segments based on the visitor’s activity:

  • Active visitors
  • All visitors
  • Inactive visitors
  • One-session visitors
  • Visitors with payments
Group by time Groups data by specific time intervals:

  • Hour
  • Date
  • Week
  • Month
  • Part of day
  • Hour of day

Time interval Specifies the period of time delay for some reports:

Top subelemets Sets a limited count of secondary attributes of the report:

Visitor’s entry from Sets the limit for time range report generating of the visitor’s first-time appearance. Enables choosing the start date of the period for limitations at the first appearance in the application.
(It is quite useful to compare visitor’s activity for the first time and further visitor’s activity after some traffic has been purchased.)
Visitor’s entry to Sets the limit for time range report generating of the visitor’s first-time appearance. Enables choosing the end date of the period for limitations at the first appearance in the application.
Visitor type Enables displaying simultaneously the following visitor types on the graph:

  • New visitors
  • Unique visitors
  • Returned visitors
Show in percent A checkbox that allows switching between metric values in percents and absolute values.
Alternative scale A checkbox that allows switching time intervals into not equidistant intervals. Each interval corresponds to a typical visitor’s lifetime.
Days of inactivity Limits the visitors only to those who meet specific requirements of the inactive behavior in the application.
Lifetime, days Limits the visitors only to those, who meet specific requirements of the days of the lifetime in the application.
First Index (X)/ Second Index (Y)/ Third Index (Z) The quality indexes of visitors that are specified in Traffic quality -> Settings. If the indexes are not specified by the user, default settings are set. There are the following indexes:

  • Lifetime
  • Daily session frequency
  • Active days ratio
  • Average session duration
  • Average time between sessions
  • Inactivity time
  • Daily return rate
  • Weekly return rate
  • Time to first payment
  • Time since last payment
  • First payment
  • Recurring payment
  • Total revenue
  • Average time between payment sessions
Quality index Limits the period; the report’s data considers the visitor’s appearance in the application. There are the following periods:

  • One day
  • Three days
  • One week
  • Two weeks
  • One month
  • Three months
Building mode Identifies your unique visitor with the Regular option (a standard logics suggested by Maxymizely) or by the ByExternalKey option (your own logics that you set at integration).

 

TRAFFIC SOURCE  SETTINGS
Traffic source type Limits report generating to one of the following sources:

  • All (all traffic sources listed further)
  • Search
  • PPC (Pay per Click)
  • AFF (Affiliate Marketing, a performance-based selection)
  • Banner
  • Email
  • Widget
  • Mobile
  • Direct
  • Social
  • Internal
  • Unknown (all other traffic sources that are not classified)
Include / Exclude Enables including or excluding the conditions for the following attributes (an additional traffic labeling):

  • Attribute 1,2,3 – options of additional marking of the traffic source.
  • Referrer domain – the site domain from which the visitor got on the site.

 

STANDARD SETTINGS
Include / Exclude Enables including or excluding the conditions for the following attributes (an additional traffic labeling):

  • Browser – visitor’s browser
  • Country – visitor’s country
  • State – visitor’s state
  • Device model – the visitor’s device model, e.g. Apple iPhone,  Generic Android 6.0, etc.
  • Device brand – the brand of a mobile device of the visitor
  • Device type – the visitor’s device type, e.g. Desktop, Tablet, etc.
  • Language – the language set on the visitor’s device
  • Local time zone – the time zone of the user
  • OS family – the platform on which the visitor’s device works
  • Screen resolution – the screen resolution of the visitor’s device

The types of visitor’s actions are set in the advanced settings at the integration of your application and while creating the experiment.

Last actions count A number of last visitor’s actions before the session has finished.
Target content Enables selecting the name of the visitor’s action being studied for building the visitor’s action sequences before and after this studied action.
Target action type Enables selecting the type of a previous visitor’s action.
Content Enables generating a report for a limited set of visitor’s actions on the website with the name of the element from this website.
Custom attribute 1,2,3 Enables selecting an additional action parameter, by which a report is going to be built. (Additional settings are required at integration.)
Top actions count Enables setting the limit of the action number in the report.
Previous content Enables selecting the name of the previous content.
Previous action type Enables selecting the type of a previous action.
Next action type Enables selecting the type of the next action.
Next content Enables selecting the name of the next content.
